Enjoy an inspiring holiday
with personal artistic tuition by English painter and art tutor John W. Skelcher. Workshops and painting sessions take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at The Retreat and scenic outdoor locations. You will enjoy breath-taking views and visit historic towns and places of natural beauty and artistic interest in Southern Le Marche. The sessions are 3 hours in the morning, followed by a light lunch and a 2 hour session in the afternoon. In the evening, we will gather at The Retreat or a local Restaurant for a delicious meal with fresh local wine. There will be a one-day artistic break for you to explore this beautiful region on a tour with us or spend the day relaxing on the beach.
Seasonal Themes
We have given some of our landscape courses a seasonal theme, including the best time to come to paint sunflowers, olive groves, vineyards and when best to see the magic of starry nights or visit the open air opera and many more.
Excursions
On your holiday you will be able to enjoy a variety of excursions to historic towns, roman cities, the national park in the mountains and during the summer months the beaches of the Adriatic.
Your Holidays includes:
All tuition, art materials,
accommodation, all breakfast, most lunches and all dinners, wine and soft drinks, transport to and from painting locations, excrusrions, one dinner at a local restaurant. Free pick-up and drop-off from/at Pedaso or Ascoli Piceno to/from flights for Ancona, Pescara and Rome. You will also receive a high quality 50 page sketchbook.

Please note: The Opera and Landscape Painting Course has a 200 Euros surcharge to cover opera tickets, pre-opera dinner, and one over-night stay at a B&B in Macerata
Non-Painting Partners:
Non- participating companions are always welcome to stay and relax at The Retreat, and join us on trips and excursions. We will also be happy to assist with itineraries and ideas for non-participating companions.
Accommodation
There are three beautiful double/twin rooms with two sharing a bathroom and the third with it’s own en-suite and sitting/kitchen area. Your rooms are light airy and spacious to give you a real home from home experience.
