Course Information
Enjoy an inspiring holiday with personal artistic tuition by English painter and art tutor John W. Skelcher. Workshops and painting sessions take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at The Retreat and scenic outdoor locations. You will enjoy breath-taking views and visit historic towns and places of natural beauty and artistic interest in Southern Le Marche.
The sessions are 3 hours in the morning, followed by a light lunch and a 3 hour session in the afternoon.

In the evening, we will gather at The Retreat or a local Restaurant for a home-cooked three course Italian dinner with fresh local wine.
There will be a one-day artistic break for you
to explore this beautiful region by on a tour with us or spend the day relaxing on the beach. We will also be happy to assist with itineraries and ideas for accompanying partners. For non-painting partners, there is lots to do in the area and we are happy to assist with ideas and itineraries to make this an enjoyable stay for you too.

Included are all tuition, art materials, accommodation, all breakfast, lunch and dinner (excl. one-day break), wine and soft drinks, transport to and from painting locations, one dinner at a local restaurant. There is no single person supplement. In 2010, accommodation is: for 5 day workshops Sunday-Friday and 7 day painting courses & workshops Saturday-Saturday.
Accommodation
There are three beautiful double/twin rooms with two sharing a bathroom and the third with it's own en-suite and sitting area. Your rooms are light airy and spacious to give you a real home from home experience. For larger group bookings we have extra accommodation at a nearby townhouse available.
Please contact us for holidays outside the listed dates, group bookings or discounts for two painting course participants wishing to share a twin or double room or painters whishing to use the facilities of the studio only without course participation.
Non- participating companions are always welcome to stay and relax at The Retreat, and join us on trips and
excursions. We will also be happy to assist with itineraries and ideas for non-participating companions.
A hire car is recommended for personal freedom but not essential There are many local festas and places of interests worth exploring on warm summer evenings. We can also arrange for transport at a small extra cost. Non-painting partners are welcome and we can help with information and bookings for the many activities available in the area, incl. excursions, day trips, bike and horse –riding, paragliding, ballooning, mountain walks, mule trekking, etc. We can pre-book these on request.
