By Rail, coach or ferry or coach

The most direct route from Rome is by coach. A variety of air-conditioned direct coaches leave directly from outside Terminal 3 (oversea’s flight terminal) at Fiumicino Airport as well as Ciampino airport and also depart from the centre of Rome  (Tiburtina coach station), so are great option if flying in to rome or spending time in Rome before or after the course. The coaches run several times a day and cost around €25 Euros return to/from centre of Rome and €35 to/from the airport. We will be sending detailed information with website links and timetables in advance. If you are coming via either of the two Rome airports, please aim for a flight arriving by 10:00 am on arrival day. From the centre of Rome, you can get a coach at around mid-day.

A good train network connects Northern Europe to Le Marche.Train services in Italy are cheap and reliable. Tickets can be booked on-line with many interesting European towns worth visiting en route. Trains run as close to The Retreat to San Benedetto, where we can pick you up at the station. You can also take a train across from Assisi or Perugia if you want to spend a few days there before or after your stay.

We will be happy to assist you with planning your route and get you train/coach times for your journey.
